Unintentionally, my journalism career began while still in high school when I found and developed The Upstate Courier, a local online source for community sporting news in New York's Capital Region. Back then, I thought I wanted to be a sports broadcaster, but in the process of creating an outlet, my heart waned from sports to the science of reporting.
As a sophomore journalism major at Emerson College, I’m deeply involved with production of the school's only student newspaper, The Berkeley Beacon. Having multi-dimensional responsibilities of digital strategist, staff writer, and sports editor provides 24/7 opportunity to further hone out-of-the box thinking and journalism skills. In 2018, my work redesigning the newspaper's website earned a best-in-show award from Associated College Press.
Currently, I am an assignment desk intern at NBC10 Boston, assisting in breaking news coverage, and story sourcing. In the past, I have worked as a reporter and student blog developer at the Albany Times Union, after assisting in station operations at WVCR FM "The Saint." My first professional experience came as a social media editor at Smack High Inc, where I helped grow nationwide audience engagement to over 1.2 million.
